R W Harrington is an Information Technology professional with over 30 years experience, at least 20 years of those in management. 

Over the years I've gotten into the habit of sending my kids emails with "Fatherly advice".  I felt that communicating electronically would allow them to just ignore my ranting without hurting my feelings, and without the agony of listening to me "lecture".  At a recent family get together however, one of them said "You know Dad, you have no idea how much your emails have helped me over the years.  I've never told you this, but I love getting them and they mean a lot.  They always seem to come at just the right time".  The others chimed in with similar comments.  Eventually one of them said that I should "write this stuff down", and that they know a lot of people would benefit from reading my rants.  So.....being as I love to write, I decided the start publishing some hub pages.  I hope my words have value and help someone.
